the church on the park. St Mark & St Cuthbert’s is the Parish Church for the whole of Cleadon Park and Marsden, South Shields, part of the Church of England.

Located right on the park on Quarry Lane, next to the children’s play area, this modern building houses a warm and welcoming community. We try to model God’s love for us in our worship of him and in our service of others in our community and beyond.

Baptisms, weddings and funerals are held here alongside weekly (Tuesday, 10am) and Sunday worship (9.30am). Messy Church meets monthly, on the last Saturday of the month, at 10.30am. We also meet for coffee on the second Saturday of the month in the Church Hall, with exceedingly good bacon sandwiches. All are welcome!

Our babies and toddlers session Bertie’s is open on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons in the Community Hall. All are welcome. Friends Together meet the first Wednesday afternoon of the month for coffee/tea, cake and company, 1.30-3pm. All very welcome. Lifts can be arranged. More information can be requested by emailing stcuthbertcleadonpark@gmail.com

Rainbows and Brownies meet in the Hall, which is also available to hire for regular or one-off events. To enquire about any of the guiding organisations, or about church hall hire, please call Liza on 07538 719 585.
